Financial Accountant
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, the Accountant will be responsible for establishing the processes and controls around the new SPV accounting and company administration activities which are being established. The Accountant will also be responsible for the establishing, updating and maintenance of the books and records of the SPV.
As Kuflink is growing rapidly, the responsibilities of this role will need to expand to include other aspects of group finance including assisting migration to new financial accounting software and year end reporting software, monthly management reporting, year-end group reporting, tax including VAT, Corporation Tax, P11ds and other projects to support our growth. As such, there is significant opportunity for learning and growing professionally within this role, as the responsibilities increase over time.
To provide financial input and build sustainable relationships with all stakeholders. The role is a senior position and support to your colleagues and a contribution to the development and growth of the Group is expected.
You will be responsible for:
- Collaborate with the team currently performing the accounting and company administration duties and assume responsibility for these functions across the new SPV.
- Establish the procedures required for the in-house SPV accounting function and streamline existing processes where possible.
- Liaise with the third-party investor to ensure the correct information is being shared and reported and meets the required deadlines.
- Produce a timetable detailing all deliverables for the SPV.
- Production of monthly management information.
- Assisting Investor Reporting process.
- Assist in the year end audit process.
- Assist with the migration of accounting to new system.
- Assist the finance team with ad-hoc tasks.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding and responsibility for compliance with all Facility / Credit Agreements.
- Ensuring accurate & reliable information is provided within deadlines agreed with stakeholders.
- Prepare Forecasts and prepare a Report to the board regarding the Forecast update (assumptions & results).
- Maintain effective relationships with debt and equity providers.
- Ensuring financial requirements of all contract agreements are met, such as provision of financial information to stakeholders etc.
- Responsibility for ensuring all aspects of the Project that have a financial impact are debated by the Board, modelled and accounted for if necessary.
- Co-ordinate the production of routine SPV reports
- Provide financial support to the project with any ad-hoc issues.
- Experience with establishing, documenting and developing processes.
Desirable experience:
- Part-qualified or finalist ACA (or similar) at least.
- Have proven experience of working with SPVs and financing vehicles.
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good understanding of IFRS accounting standards and reporting to UK Accounting Standards FRS 102.
