Underwriter

We are looking for an Underwriter to join us on our journey as one of the fastest growing lenders in the alternative finance market. We are expanding our Sales and Underwriting team to allow us to continue to grow and deliver the best service in the market. Your main responsibility will be working with the underwriting team to ensure business growth with effective risk management and seamless drawdown of funds to our borrowers.

You will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with valuers, solicitors and intermediaries as appropriate
  • Ensuring all client files are complete and accurate
  • Ensuring all deals underwritten comply with the Company’s lending criteria
  • Completing all credit papers accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Projecting positivity, professionalism, and knowledge across all communications
  • Working closely with the wider team to ensure deals progress smoothly and efficiently

Underwriter will need as a minimum:

  • Analytical and methodical thinking
  • Ability to take ownership and management of tasks to successfully deliver a high-quality service
  • Previous underwriting experience in a similar environment
  • Ability to communicate at all levels

  • A can-do attitude and the drive to learn
  • Be flexible in your approach to work
  • Go the extra mile to get the job done
  • Confident and effective communicator/influencer/negotiator
  • Self-motivated to deliver high quality service

Desirable

  • Financial Services experience (ideally bridging lending)
